A display and exbibition of some of my favourite graphics pieces focused around architecture. This Website is optimized for PC and Laptop use.
Studied Art, Graphics, Geography, and Maths at A-level. Passionate about Architecture and excited to improve my skills. Extremely eager to put my fascination into practice. I like to think that spending my childhood playing video games centred around building really inspired me. It allowed me to ruthlessly create buildings over and over. This eventually developed into an interest in architecture. I began to notice architecture more and more around me and because of this I asked questions about different features and the logical reasons for the way buildings were designed. I have recently discovered the Architect Nancy Copley and love the way she incorporates the environment and natural materials into all of her designs. This inspired me to start looking at the environment and how to use the materials around. Although I only discovered Copley recently I feel like i have discovered the direction I want to move in the future.
My Favourites
This piece was made as part of my Graphics A-Level. The idea was to create a poster to advertise an architecture magazine run by Architectural Digest. This poster would be on billboards, tote bags and an assortment of mechandise to advertise the exhibition.
My next favourite was again part of my A-level. I was inspired buy Josef Muller-Brockmann. This meant my main focus was the layout of these pieces. i think they work really well as the colors harmonise and make sense.
As I wanted to expand my knowledge of architecture I came across Nancy Copley. She is currently my favourite architect and I wanted to replicate her use of the environment in my own piece. The Eco House is therefore built into the hillside with a green roof, koi pond and a glass rainforest corridoor.
